The 2000 Château Lafite Rothschild, Premier Grand Cru Classé, is one of the most celebrated wines of the millennium vintage in Bordeaux. Produced from the historic vineyards of Pauillac, this wine embodies Lafite’s signature elegance, precision and extraordinary ageing capacity. The bouquet is intensely refined, revealing cassis, blackcurrant and red berry fruit layered with cedar, graphite, tobacco and subtle spice. Floral hints and mineral nuances add complexity. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet impeccably balanced, with high but beautifully integrated tannins, vibrant acidity and remarkable purity of fruit. Notes of pencil lead, forest floor and cigar box emerge with aeration, culminating in a long, harmonious and aristocratic finish. Structured for decades of evolution, the 2000 Lafite Rothschild combines power with finesse and remains a benchmark expression of Pauillac and First Growth Bordeaux.
